Chocolate nose. This divided the panel with some feeling it was too thin, with heavier carbonation than expected for a dark beer. The flavor notes for some were almost savory. Others felt it was rich in texture with an almost barleywine flavor. The panel agreed it was not sweet, and had a malty flavor.
