An herby, lemon aroma on the nose was exactly what we hoped for. Balanced in flavor and acidity. A zesty, almost tannic element added to the experience. Recommended in a lemonade or a hot toddy.

Dram Palo Santo Bitters

An almost tonic flavor, but with slightly less sweetness. Warming spices weren’t overpowering, and lovely vanilla notes softened some of the herbal edges.

Parch Desert Margarita

Scents of grapefruit, and sweet pineapple. Flavor notes included tea, lime and grapefruit. It was tart, not too sweet, a bit earthy and gave a sense of saltiness (one panelist thought it tasted like it has electrolytes). We thought the abundant, fine bubbles added great texture.

Nooh by La Coste Sparkling White

A classic white wine nose with dry notes of rose, honeysuckle, and melon. The flavor was fruity and fresh, like sweet and sour cherry, with a sour pucker at the end. The panel was divided on whether the bubbles were a bit weak or just right but pleasant regardless.

Noughty Syrah

A panel favorite. Oakey and very tart at first impression. Mellowed into a smooth wine with some tannin and texture. A lovely dryness.

Most likely among the gins to fool us into thinking it was alcoholic. Slightly floral but with plenty of juniper, it’s ideal for adding to gin-based cocktails. A panel favorite.

Tilden Tandem

A panel favorite. We picked up scents of sweet pepper, spice market, tea, cinnamon and orange. When sampled neat, we got hints of orange, mulled cider, citrus, and tobacco. A lot of flavor with a hint of savoriness and spice. Our panel thought this might be good warm in an NA hot toddy.

For Bitter For Worse Smoky No. 56

Smoke and sweetness on the nose, almost like barbecue sauce. Very round, almost fatty in character. Some bubbles balance it a bit, but it still has a tangy barbecue sauce taste.
