Noughty Sparkling Chardonnay

A great aroma and plentiful bubbles. Dry and light with a subtle fruity undertone and less bitterness than alcoholic sparkling wine. Some found it to have a slightly sour finish, but not unpleasantly so.

Lautus Rosé

On the sweeter side with a jammy characteristic. An initial nose that our panel couldn’t place eventually mellowed into a full-flavor experience.

2023 Oceano Zero Pinot Noir

A strong red wine in a challenging category. Earthy, tannic nose with hints of grass. Some in our panel found it smooth and flavorful with tannin on the tongue and a round mouthfeel, others found they preferred it with a few drops of bitters to round out the flavor profiles.

Goodvines Red Glühwein

A German mulled wine favorite, our panel found it delightful and festive. Spiced, but not overwhelmingly so. Traditionally served warm, we also enjoyed it at room temperature.

Giesen 0% Pinot Grigio

A pronounced lime nose when first opened mellowed into a fruity wine, with some hints of apricot. Perfect for a summer day. Semi-dry.

A panel favorite. Classic Chardonnay on the nose, taste, and texture. Crisp, tart, and acidic with a strong nose and lingering flavor profile. On the full-bodied side.

Sovi Sparkling Rosé

Very tart, but dry. Our panel found it to be a pleasant sparkling rosé.

Grüvi Dry Secco

Strong notes of pear and slightly sweet with lots of acid. Mild bubbles. Note: we found variation within releases with some being very dry with more bubbles. Mixed well with Figlia Fiore.

Reminiscent of a sparkling Moscato, our panel found this sec to be a good choice for mixing.

Fre Chardonnay

Off-dry with a definitive peach flavor. Lighter in body than you might expect of a Chardonnay.

Guinness 0

Our panel panel was divided on this long awaited release from Guinness. Some found it very similar to the original while others struggled with what they described as increased bitterness and a thinner texture. The nitro can adds to its authenticity.

A complex, bitter porter with notes of red wine.

Barrel Bothers Morello Barrel Aged Sour with Cherries

This beer is about as sour as it gets, which was good news for the hardcore sour fans on our panel. If this is you, you know who you are. There was a lot of nuance to this, including the slightly caramel notes from the barrel and the tart sweetness of the morello cherries. This is a treat for sour fans.
