Toasted flavor with a hint of coffee that would be at home in an Old Fashioned, and also work well in a warm drink.

Scents of pear and honey. When mixed with soda water, as directed, we got lingering lime flavors coupled with smooth richness from honey. We found this easy-drinking, juicy, and refreshing.

A panel favorite. The initial scent was fresh-cut grass and the flavor reveals a vegetal bitterness at the back of the tongue (like the “dryness” of spinach) and a general astringency. We found the complex flavors pleasantly intense: grapefruit rind coupling with a hint of saline, and a light sweetness. Enjoyable with light tonic, we see lots of mixology applications.

A panel favorite. Cinnamon and apricot on the nose. Notes of coconut, orchard fruits, brown sugar, grapefruit peel, and orange. We found this balanced, with distinct beginning, middle and finish flavor points, including a pleasant lingering flavor and astringency at the end.

A panel favorite. Flavorful and smoky with a definite maple note. We added Free Spirits Bourbon as per the instructions which added a slight burn and lightened up the texture. We felt some orange bitters or a twist would be a nice addition and that this might be nice in warm beverages as well. 

Sweet with notes of spice and black tea up front and a long, lingering cardamon finish. Warming and complex.

Aromas of cherry, vanilla, butterscotch, burnt sugar (and a hint of coffee) with tart flavors giving way to cola, vanilla, and chocolate. An expected level of astringency from both the coffee and the vinegar base was present throughout.

Mulling spices in tea bag-like sachets offer an easy way to create a classic holiday beverage. Add one sachet to a cup of warmed wine and steep for three minutes. Orange peel forward with slight sweetness and some nice spice notes.

Perfect tiki bitters with all the tropical notes you would want. Subtly sweet.

A definitive jalapeño nose with other vegetal elements. Crisp and fresh flavors stood up well to mixing. Would be great in any kind of margarita.
