Peggi Cooney is a sobriety advocate, speaker, and author of the book This Side of Alcohol, a collection of insights and inspirations related to sobriety. Peggi holds a MSW, has 26 years of experience in Child Welfare and Adult Protective Services, and works as an instructor of social work for the UC Davis Professional and Continuing Education program for which she received an Outstanding Instructor award in 2018. Peggi is the Chief Connections Officer for Zero Proof Experiences/Sober in the City where, with founder Susie Streelman, she hosts alcohol-free social experiences around the world. Peggi is currently working on her next book professional stress in the helping and care-giving fields. Peggi splits time between West Sacramento and Lake Almanor, CA with her husband Paul.
