We found the scent almost leathery, possibly with a hint of tobacco, but vinegar forward. We found the scent very complex, and the taste had a lot of complexity and spice, but it was partially overshadowed by the vinegar flavor. We were able to enjoy sipping this slowly, and enjoyed it mixed with tonic, as well, but the vinegar flavor is prominent, so this is recommended for people who enjoy those flavors. We also thought this would be a very interesting ingredient to mix.
